Join Us!

We welcome high school students, undergraduate students, and master students to join our team and conduct (photo)electrocatalysis research for renewable energy. STEM majors (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Physics and Engineering) are all welcome.

It is recommended that you have finished at least two semester of general chemistry to know basic chemistry concepts and laboratory skills before applying for the undergraduate research assistant position. Completion of one or more upper division courses such as inorganic chemistry (CHEM 325), quantitative analytical chemistry (CHEM 322), and physical chemistry (CHEM 351, CHEM 352, CHEM 300)  is preferred. Undergraduate students could participate in the research as a volunteer or sign up the CHEM 699 course (1-6 units).

If you are interested in joining our research group, please email Dr. Qiu (qiu@sfsu.edu) to schedule a one-to-one meeting and discuss more details. We have 1-2 openings for undergraduate student in summer 2025!
